Just came back from the Denver Fly Show and I was amazed as always with the cornucopia of fly tiers in the house. There must have been 50 pro tiers with there vices cranking out cool stuff! This could be very intimidating to me and perhaps you too but let me try and encourage you to tie something new! a bit of time with Dave Whitlock
This past week /weekend was a bit crazy for me here in Denver. The ISE Show was at the Colorado Convention Center AND The Fly Show was at the Merchandise Mart. I felt like a ping pong ball all week! That aside I had the privilege of spending some time with a few good friends at the Fly Show namely Dave & Emily Whitlock. FTB Crew rescues divers!!!
Many of you probably read the blog I wrote some 6 months back when this happened but since the show that covers this will airs on this Thursday 1/12/12 I thought a little refresher would be in order. …new biggest fish for Jessica
This week (1/1/12) premiers the 2nd Episode of Season 2 of "Fish the Baja". Joining me this trip is my daughter Jessica who for some reason has never shot TV with me before. She is not an avid angler by any means but is quite good at catching fish and would say as long as we are going "catching" she's up for the trip. Season 2 Premiers on NBC Sports
Well it is sort of Premiering on NBC SPorts. Technically the Versus Channel doesn't change its name to NBC Sports until January 2, 2012 but we are all using NBC graphics and protocols for the programming so we a going with it. Marlin Capital of the world…
If you want to catch a Marlin the best place in the world is arguably Cabo San Lucas, Baja Mexico. The deep water just offshore make the runs to get into Marlin fishing grounds as short as a few hundred years. I'm not kidding here!
